Pyxis Discovery has been invited to Join the MC4DD Consortium Meetings

The MC4DD (Macrocycles for Drug Discovery, http://www.mc4dd.com/) Consortium is a major European research initiative dedicated to advancing the use of macrocyclic molecules as next-generation therapeutics.

The MC4DD Consortium brings together leading academic institutions, industry partners, and research organizations across Europe with the shared mission of improving how macrocycles are designed, synthesized, and used in drug development. Macrocyclic compounds—large, ring-shaped molecules—hold enormous potential for tackling complex and traditionally “undruggable” biological targets relevant to diseases such as cancer, chronic pain, obesity, and neurological disorders.

The consortium focuses on three core objectives:

•             Enhancing synthetic accessibility: Developing new and efficient routes for producing macrocyclic molecules.

•             Strengthening computational modelling: Improving predictive tools to better understand macrocycle behavior.

•             Advancing pharmacological insight: Studying how macrocycles interact with biological systems to unlock new therapeutic applications.

In addition to its scientific goals, MC4DD operates a comprehensive doctoral training network that prepares the next generation of researchers in chemistry, computational science, and pharmacology.
